Each mosaic is created from hundreds of little magazine clippings. I paste the magazine pieces onto a canvas using a paint brush and Mod Podge. Once I have sketched the image onto a canvas, I start with the background and build up the many layers of the mosaic. Once the canvas is completely filled, I use smaller bits of magazine to outline and detail the image. Then I complete the mosaic by 'signing' my name out of magazine. Each magazine mosaic takes roughly 20 hours to create. Once the mosaic is complete, I scan it in and can then use the image to make prints, calendars, magnets, note cards, etc.
